Guillermo López Zamora

Mi actividad investigadora se ha centrado principalmente en el estudio de ecología de agentes infecciosos en poblaciones silvestres. En especial, las relaciones hospedador-parásito en aves silvestres han centrado la mayor parte de mis investigaciones. Fruto de las investigaciones en esta área, en 2010 defendí en la UAM mi tesis doctoral titulada "Relaciones eco-fisiológicas hospedador-parásito en aves silvestres", que realicé en la Estación Biológica de Doñana. En la actualidad formo parte del equipo veterinario del proyecto LIFE IBERLINCE "Recuperación de la distribución histórica del Lince Ibérico en España y Portugal" . Dentro de las diferentes acciones de conservación llevadas a cabo en el proyecto, nuestro equipo se encarga del seguimiento epidemiológico de las poblaciones de lince y del control sanitario para reducir el impacto negativo que las enfermedades tienen en la dinámica poblacional del lince ibérico.
